Overview

Basic Policy

We provide gastroscopy and colonoscopy on a self-pay (out-of-pocket) basis to people who live outside Japan and do not hold Japanese health insurance — only when we judge that the examination can be performed safely.

Our clinic is an outpatient clinic. We do not provide inpatient care, emergency surgery, advanced endoscopic treatment (such as EMR or ESD), or 24-hour emergency medical services. For safety reasons, we limit who we can accept and what we can do.

Requirements

Requirements to Be Accepted

You can be examined only if all of the following apply.

1. Communication in Japanese (most important)

All consultations and procedures are conducted only in Japanese. You qualify only if one of these is true:

  • You can speak and understand Japanese well enough to discuss your own medical care, or
  • You bring, in person on the day of your visit, a family member or a professional medical interpreter who can interpret between you and our staff in Japanese.

✕ Interpreting by phone or video call, and translation apps (machine translation), are NOT accepted.
✕ You must arrange and pay for the interpreter yourself; the clinic does not provide one.

  • 2 You are currently in Japan.
  • 3 You can pay the self-pay fees by credit card or Japanese-yen cash (no later billing or installments).
  • 4 You understand and agree to our clinic's policies and consent terms.
